An Experiment

Thu Mar 9, 2006, 8:57 PM
A friend (:hi: Dancy) mentioned dating recently, and that made me think (Stay your jokes please). And after I was done with all that thinking, this is what I wrote:

:star:

I don't know about dating. I mean, it's mostly done for fun - and that's all right, but I wouldn't like batting my heart around like a tennis ball. All the same if I ever find Someone, or Someone ever finds me, well. ^^ Then maybe I'll know about dating ^^

I've actually been thinking a lot about such things lately. The country station is always on the radio at my work, and I've grown quite fond of most country, me who rarely liked it before (only some occasional ballads). Most of the songs are, of course, to do with love. Deep love, tender love, very shallow superficial give-me-worth love, gone love, future love, you love, me love, quiet love, short love, long love, etc. Some songs I stand back from and think about. Others are beautiful and tender and I think, I want that.

I think worthwhile love is something you don't... need recklessly or chase after. You wait and keep your heart open, pure, and keep working to grow stronger - so you can have more to give to the one you end up loving.

:star:

Here is a poem I wrote that says that last bit better, as poems are wont to do.

As I wait, I ripen
In the seeking of the color of my thoughts
I pull all that is beautiful into me.
I want to be a treasure box for you to open
I want you to
Pull jewel after jewel out
And never reach the bottom.

If you stand before me, I want to reach for you.
I want us to sit together
In such rhythmic, brimming silence
That a great wind of unspoken emotion
Funnels us to mergence.

thank's so much for the comments :) not everyone leaves something more then "oh pretty"

that doesn't help me move further with work like more crit-like ones do.

Pleasure.

Yeah, I understand - I feel the same way myself. What's best is when you get people's indepth reactions, especially when they can guess at why & where. "This moved me because, this didn't because."

I like to practice the policy of giving what I wish to receive. A subtle hint. XD XP

Seriously, though, if you don't want to, that's quite all right :)

Well, I like seeing comments because that's also what my art is for, to see what others see in them. To know that there's more then just one side to the piece :)

And I guess it come from schooling as well, that I'm so used to getting crits. Someone points out something, it sometimes stays in the back of my head and I'll get better from it :)

Oh my good golly gosh. I hope you still check in here once in awhile.

Do you remember Project Chameleon? And the really annoying, immature, self-centered brat called Sara who used to be there? I'm pretty sure she's gone now and there's a much better Sara in her place (and a considerably better roleplayer, to boot), and she remembers and misses you.
